Whatever
else you may have planned for a 50th most people opt for a bit of
a party to mark the big milestone of half a century! This can be anything from a small gathering at home with a BBQ in summer to a big party in a local hall
etc.
Whatever size the party, the same areas need to be considered.
Food:
Do you want to do the food or hire a caterer to put on a spread for
you. It can take a long time to organise the food and can be quite
hard to keep under wraps if you are throwing a suprise 50th birthay
party.
Decoration: A hall or home will both need decorating
to give the party its own feel as most halls are quite bare so consider
buying
lots of decorations with '50' all over them!!
The decoration can take many
forms from a banner over the front door and a few balloons to table decorations,
balloon nets and you could even hire in a party decorator to theme the party
to a specific theme or era such as Wild West or maybe the 70s disco etc. whatever
you feel the birthday boy/girl would like.
The other big area to consider
is music. Do you want a DJ that plays general music or a band that will
keep the guests up and dancing. Another idea is to have a tribute to a singer
of the 60s/70s for when they were most in to their music that could perform
as entertainment throughout the party.
The main thing to remember though is to have
fun. You/they are 50 only the once so make sure you all enjoy it with a
party to remember!!!!!
